Building ColdWarChildhoods.org was truly an international project for an international audience. We worked with professors from all over the world to create a place for people who grew up in socialist countries during the Cold War. By sharing and studying memories, we can all better understand those experiences and how they’ve shaped today’s world.
The group had been working on this project for years and ended up with three separate sites that were proving difficult to maintain and update. We consolidated the content and moved them to a WordPress site they can manage. The centerpiece of the site is a collection of stories that will only grow over time.
