Sometimes you get to decide when to update your website and sometimes that decision is made for you. We were already discussing plans to update the website for Centered Therapy Chicago to make it responsive when we learned something. The platform their site was running on was going to be discontinued on March 31 and the site would be gone. It was lucky to make the discovery when we did. Our plans quickly changed to build them a new site on WordPress, a platform that isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.
The schedule was aggressive but reasonable. We scheduled several working sessions with Centered Therapy to determine the content that should be migrated to the new site. We added functionality for scheduling initial phone consultations and providing new patient forms. The site is an improvement visually from the previous version and is easier to update.
Sometimes circumstances can change your plans but the result can be a good one.
