WordPress 4.0 is here

WordPress 4.0, aka “Benny”, has been released. As with all other WordPress updates, don’t install the latest version without testing it on a non-live developmental version of your site. If using a theme, it’s also wise to wait for that developer to release a version of the theme verified to work with the latest WordPress version. Doing things out of order here, without a backup of your site, can be disastrous!
